Alexander Hutterer is the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Early Career Research Fellow at the University of Chicago’s Philosophy Department. His research interests include Kant, Fichte, and German Idealism. In his current research project, he studies Fichte’s account of objectivity. Prior to Chicago, he completed an MPhil and PhD at the University of Cambridge, writing a thesis on Kant’s concepts of cognition and knowledge, supervised by Prof Angela Breitenbach, Prof Paulina Sliwa, and Dr Jessie Munton. He took an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at King’s College London, writing a dissertation on Kant’s concept of the highest good, supervised by Dr Jessica Leech.
